1. Everything is expensive no matter what you do!

Honestly when people say a wedding is expensive they are not lying to you, but i mean everyone knows the dress is a lot the reception but no one tells you about everything else! I can't even list everything i have bought over the past year and a half of planning so many little bits and details that will make up on the day and not even just that it’s the beauty prep, the hen do and so many other things that build up to your day so make sure you save save save!

2. Get as much help as you can

Now this is something i have been the most thankful for because i swear if i didn't have people helping me out i for sure would have had a break down and also has helped out my bank account too! But its things that you don't usually ask people for like Kieran's sister made or invites and save the dates for us because she’s a graphic designer and my aunties made our wedding cake and my uncle is playing the organ at the church, it’s things like that when it’s all hands on deck for the wedding and most of the time people are delighted to be asked!

3. Emailing is a nightmare

I am not even kidding you the amount of times i check my emails a day because a supplier has emailed me about the wedding its constant! You end up with so many different suppliers all from different places all doing different things and it’s a nightmare so keep on top of your emails!

4. Everything will stress you out

Now this is really something that no one told me! HOW STRESSED YOU GET! There's different levels of stress for different reasons at different stages of wedding planning which was mad and i think my worst stressed sections of the wedding planning was 1. THE TABLE PLAN, 2. THE GUEST LIST 3. THE DRESS AND EVERYTHING ABOUT THE DRESS. Now there’s nothing i can say that will help you apart from calm the hell down it will be okay and it's not the end of the world and i give myself that advice everyday!

5. Not everyone you invite will come

I invited over 120 guests to our wedding which was a lot but as everyone said to me they won't all come which ( no offence) but thank God they didn't lol! I'm pretty sure all the best people are coming to my day and everyone that I want the most are coming which i am so happy about!

6. Plan in advance

I can't stress this enough this is absolutely vital, if you want certain aspects of your wedding to be the way you want you have to plan in advance! I started planning properly, in the January of 2017 which is scaryyyyyyyyy! And even then I had to change my date because the photographer I actually wanted was taken for our date which was insane considering we were planning a year and a half in advance!

7. Just do you

Remember your wedding is about you and your partner do what you want to do, have the people you want there and most importantly don't do anything because "that's what you do at a wedding" YOU DON’T HAVE TO!

8. Remember to enjoy the process

This is your wedding day enjoy the planning, go to all the wedding fayres and have fun. It's such an exciting time and (hopefully) will only happen once!

9. DIY as much as you can

This is something that’s done me well and also saved a lot of money. DIY as much stuff as you. We have made our invites, name cards, table centerpieces, save the dates and order of services which do look amazing and i'm so pleased with them and didn't actually take too much effort either!

10. Your wedding will turn out the way you want

Even though I've said you will stress out, try not to because it isn't worth it! Have faith in what you have done and all the effort you and everyone have done for your amazing day!
