Dandilions are known for being a problem weed growing in your backgarden. But the dandilion has in fact has been proven to included multiple health benefits.The most popular way of consuming the dandilion is by making it into tea-form. This is achieved by cleaning and preparing the plant , by taking the flower off the plant and making sure it is free from chemicals or insect repellent. Rost the root of the dandilion until it is a dark brown colour. Then pour hot water over the greens of the dandilion and strain.One of the major health benefits of Dandilion root tea is that it has been known for improving appetite as it acts like a laxative to increase bowel movements, which can result in weight loss and also water weight. This works by preventing pancreatic lipase, which is an enzyme discharged to break down fat.

Another area that Dandilion Root Tea can be an aid is the liver. Dandilion Root Tea can increase the flow of urine which can help detoxify the liver and also sooth symptoms of Liver disease.

Dandilion Root also helps with skin and eye problems and also includes many essential minerals and vitamins like potassium, iron, calcium, vitamin C and vitamin B6 and more. It also can be used to treat an upset stomach, gallstones, joint pain, muscle aches and eczema.

The main reason that Dandilion Root tea has been hitting the headlines is that there has recently been more studies of its cancer- fighting potential. A study showed that the dandilion root includes propeties which induce cell death in melanoma cells and do not damage regular healthy cells unlike chemotherapy. Doctors are planning clinical trials using dandilion root tea as it hasn't yet been tested.
